Learning is our Business and Avocation

 Dr. Bobbert created and maintains this "learning" site for students and friends in order to efficiently exchange class information, technical data and photographs.  Interesting links are here for students and others who search for generally helpful computer, Tai Chi, Qigong and Healthy Exercise information.

Dr. Bobbert was teaching part time for several universities, colleges, and organizations, so links go to various universities and other valuable sites.  Current links include Morehead University, Eastern KY University,  Midway College, and Countryside YMCA.

Sometimes your success depends on what you know and other times who you know. Links to people and information that will help you succeed and have safer web experiences. Some links are here for current, past and future students.

Come back from time to time to find new announcements and information

Warning: This site is continuously under construction as we add and subtract courses and locations.  Please contact us regarding any errors or lost links you discover.  We are still  learning  website creation with Word Press, so we  are temporarily maintaining our old site on Yahoo because I love their Sitebuilder.   Word Press is a more robust platform on which to design, so even though  I prefer working in WYSIWYG,-- learning is our business and avocation.

Somebody Said It Couldn't Be Done

Collected Verse of Edgar Guest
 NY:Buccaneer Books, 1976, pg. 285

Somebody said that it couldn't be done,

But he with a chuckle replied That "maybe it couldn't,"

but he would be one who wouldn't say so till he'd tried.

So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin on his face.

 If he worried he hid it.  He started to sing as he tackled the thing

That couldn't be done, and he did it.

Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that; At least no one ever has done it";

But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,

And the first thing we knew he'd begun it.

With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,

Without any doubting or quiddit,

He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn't be done, and he did it.

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,

There are thousands to prophesy failure;

There are thousands to point out to you, one by one,

The dangers that wait to assail you.

But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,

Just take off your coat and go to it;

Just start to sing as you tackle the thing

That "cannot be done," and you'll do it.
