Buying on line is easy, convenient and safe if you follow some basic rules.
When you go shopping at the mall or local store you usually read the adds in the paper or "shop around."

You need to "shop around" when WEB shopping too.  The Reseller links below are good references, but do not rely on them 100%.  Deals exist that they don't know about sometimes.

Also, every site has paid adds and the paid add pages may not be the cheapest place to buy.  On the other hand, usually the sites check out the "paid ad" stores to see if they are safe and honest.
